Dr. Ericka Dangelo
Dr. Ericka Dangelo is an aesthetic and restorative dentist trained in São Paulo and Florida, with a Master’s in Biomaterials and a Chief Resident appointment at the University of Florida’s AEGD program. She joins Tetri’s Smile after running her own private practice in Brazil for several years.
Her path into the field started young. At nine years old, growing up in a family that could not afford private orthodontic care, she was treated at a university teaching clinic in São Paulo. The experience of having her own smile worked on, slowly, over a long course of treatment, is what made her want to do this for a living. She returned to that same university as a student a decade later.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. Dangelo holds a dental degree from São Paulo and a Master’s in Biomaterials, with research focused on the longevity of aesthetic restorations. The clinical question behind that work is simple. A veneer or a full mouth rehab needs to look right on day one and still look right at year fifteen, and the materials science is what gets you there.
She practiced privately in Brazil for several years before moving to the United States, where she completed her AEGD residency at the University of Florida. The program is one of the more selective options for internationally trained dentists, and she was named Chief Resident during her time there. Her clinical work in Brazil concentrated on porcelain restorations, smile makeovers, and facial aesthetics including Botox and dermal fillers.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Dangelo designs every smile as part of the face it lives in. Tooth shape, proportion, lip line, the way a person actually speaks and laughs, all of it factors into the plan before any work begins.
That kind of planning takes time, and her patients get it. Treatment is paced around the patient’s comfort, the restorations are engineered to last, and the result is meant to read as natural at conversational distance, not photographed from a perfect angle. Patients usually notice the change before anyone else can place exactly what is different.
